He has never hidden his admiration for Messrs Roeder, Clark and Stephenson and City captain Mark Fotheringham yesterday went one further by declaring them the best management team in the Championship.

The Scot has become one of the first names on the team sheet since his recovery from a serious ankle injury in August and after being handed the captaincy upon his return, he has become an essential cog in the Canary wheel.

City boss Glenn Roeder admitted today that he is on the lookout for new Canary heroes as the dust starts to settle on a topsy-turvy Championship campaign.

There is, of course, one more date in the 07/08 calendar ? and one more opportunity for Dion Dublin to lace up his boots ? with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday this Sunday.

Roeder hails new deal as he sets his sights on promoting Aviva on the big stage

City boss Glenn Roeder today welcomed the club's seven-figure, three-year sponsorship deal with insurance giants Aviva ? but admitted thoughts must now turn to 'Operation Premier League' in a bid to couple achievements on the pitch with those off it.

Aviva named as new City sponsors – armed with a "seven-figure" cheque

The Canary coffers received a big boost this morning after it was announced that insurance giants Aviva were the club's new main sponsor.

The three-year deal, which will see their logo on the team shirts, guarantees City “a substantial seven-figure sum” and fans will now be wondering if the agreement will mean boss Glenn Roeder has more to play with when he hits the summer sales over the coming months.
