Jonathan Symes

Jonathan Symes is an experienced broadcast journalist, who has worked at radio stations across East Anglia covering sport for the best part of a decade - BBC Radio Norfolk, BBC Radio Cambs and Heart among them. Jonathan certainly has plenty of football knowledge after a stint working at Setanta Sports, but having spent the majority of his adult life in the region, he has a desire to see its teams regain a place at football's top table, with more than a little yellow and green blood coursing through his veins after being bitten by the Canary bug during his time studying at the UEA.

I for one believe last season’s relegation to League One couldn’t have been better timed. For now, the Premier League is a place City are best out of – for it is there where debt levels could run into club-threatening proportions. This year, more than most, England’s top division seems an unstable and almost unsavoury place.
