Now this one is quite interesting. All of a sudden our little pal has “another English” club on his tail.
Or rather, as my little translation box will insist, “a girlfriend“. Which, old Ferret can only presume, is a Mickey Mouse translation of 'suitor'. But anyway…
Anyone need to go back to the beginning? Nah, I thought so. So, here we go again. This one from AS.com – albeit a couple days old. But having trawled about tonight I can't find anything fresh.
In fairness, from a distance you suspect that Valencia are in full, lock-down mode after this weekend's 1-0 home defeat by newly-promoted Almeira merely heaped the pressure on beleagured boss Ronald Koeman – he got the full waving, white hankie treatment from the Mestella faithful.
What happens to our little pal Sunny may be the least of the Dutchman's worries. Apparently he's “giving long to all his suitors“. Superb. Makes a change from giving it short, I suppose.
That might actually be the danger. Had Koeman actually won a game since November, then the ex-Barca chief might have been able to do as he pleases; now, all of a sudden, the heat might really be on.
Even by Spain's standards, be a big move to sack the bloke with just 72 hours left in the transfer window.
Anyway, what is 'Sunny' Sunday up to now? Still playing hard to get as far as the recent favourites Malaga are concerned, would be the general gist.
“The reinforcement dreamed of Juan Ram?n Mu?iz continues in the air. Sunny continues imprisoned in Valencia and itself is not pronounced on its more immediate future.
“Its agent, Rodrigo Fern?ndez, assured to ACE the past Wednesday that “Sunny would be pronounced today” (by yesterday) about its future. But the player does not have the clear and he continues giving long to all his suitors.
“The Malaga was passed the day of yesterday doing managements to try to close the transfer of Sunny, but did not achieve its objective.
“Each minute that passes girlfriends leave him more. To Malaga, Celtic and AEK have added now Elche, a club of First Italian and another English.
“Sunny does not see clear to play in Second Division because feels that is a step behind, but already is almost convinced that does not have future with Koeman.
“Although its intention was always that of continuing in Mestalla, the environment of the midfield player assures that right now is done a mess, desperate.
“The AEK of Athens, in turn, has radicalized its offensive. In fact, Saws Ferrer called personally yesterday to Sunny to convince him. The Majorcan one already wanted him for the Betis when had the footballer was 17-years-old.
“But the pivot is not seen in Greece because do not they remain many parties and would not compensate him. The Malaga should accelerate the managements if intends to sign to the valencianista, that continues without being pronounced officially.”
But that's the interesting line. Right there in the middle – that he's got an Italian First Division club on his tail – Elche – and “another English“.
Still, it looks as if he's off somewhere given that it's a “mess, desperate” and he's “imprisoned” at Valencia.
Ooh, what will happen next….
