Fozzy and Dion return as Gibbs edges out Pattison for that midfield berth

Norwich City: Marshall; Otsemobor, Pearce, Doherty, Bertrand; Croft, Fotheringham, Gibbs, Huckerby; Dublin, Cureton.

Subs: Shackell, Gilks, Evans, Pattison, Velasco

City captain Mark Fotheringham was thrust back into the starting line-up to face Blackpool today as Matty Pattison makes way for the Scot.

Canary boss Glenn Roeder admitted yesterday that it would be touch and go whether the former Celtic man would reclaim his place, and his captain's armband.

But with experience thin on the ground, Roeder has opted to bring Fozzy back into the fold and he takes his place alongside Kieran Gibbs, with Pattison unlucky to miss out.

Gibbs impressed last weekend and Canary chief Roeder has given the Gunners teenager the nod, ahead of the former Newcastle man.

In attack, Dion Dublin, who, like Fotheringham, served a one-match ban last weekend, also returns with Welsh Under-21 star Ched Evans dropping to the bench.

It may prove to be a shrewd move and Roeder will be glad to have options at his disposal and goal hero Evans could be a lethal weapon off the bench.

Alex Pearce and Gary Doherty will be hoping to continue from where they left off last weekend and wing wizards Lee Croft and Darren Huckerby continue their double act in midfield.

For the Seasiders, Paul Dickov – who has been in such red-hot form since his loan move from Manchester City – misses out with a hamstring strain.
