If anyone ever thought that it would be a nice, quiet ordered start to the new season, the events of the last 72 hours have certainly shattered that illusion as the Turners walk out of Carrow Road leaving a ?1.5 million hole in their wake.
Once again the club's celebrity owners Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones are left holding the baby; reports today suggest that they have pumped aother ?2 million into the Carrow Road club as 'active' negotiations continue over the club's future ownership.
How do we see this all panning out? Is there a way for Delia and Michael to return to their season tickets in the City Stand with an element of dignity attached? Or is everyone now determined to bundle them out of the door as quickly as Mr C can hot-foot it up the A11 with his billions in tow?
And this lad from Boro? Grounds for a bit of optimism on the pitch? Time to press 'Play!' and pod with the Stans…
