Apologies to anyone expecting a football story. This is not one of those.

This is the story of how you can place a perfectly-targetted text advertisement in front of up to 60,000 football supporters that pass through the doors of MFW/NorwichCity and MFW/IpswichTown on a monthly basis – the majority of whom will live somewhere in East Anglia.

So if you haven't got a brand, a service or a product to sell or promote, apologies. You can click away now.

Addiply is the red box two-thirds of the way down the home page. Says 'Advertise here…

It is something that we've been working on over the last two years – ever since we started to do our sums and tried to work out how on earth anyone ever planned to earn a living off this new media thing.

The concept is very simple. All it does is allow you, the advertiser, to place a text ad yourself.

Just as you would place a postcard in the window of your local Post Office; or leave a business card in your local chip shop.

You know that's where your potential local customers are, so you place the advert yourself.

You don't need anyone else's help, thank you very much. I can do that for myself.

And that is all that Addiply does… allows you, the advertiser, to make a decision for yourself. And when we're all being crunched to death in this current economic climate, it means that you are not having to pay anyone else to place that ad. And nor are you entrusting your text ad to anyone else.

By way of an introductory offer, we're offering 1,000-views for 25 pence. A half-price sale. Pop the minimum of ?10 into our PayPal 'meter' and that will then guarantee your text ad 40,000 views. And because you're paying per view, you're only ever paying when your ad is actually seen.

If more than five people want to place an ad on the site, then a bid model kicks in…. the highest bidder gets the highest slot. What was initially 25 pence becomes 26.

It's that simple.
