After Saturday it’s most definitely time to look forward and not back! It’s also a good time to remind ourselves of City’s more than decent form on the road. I’ll let Andy explain…
There’s not a lot to do when you’re trapped in a Club Canary coach on the way back from Bolton with 50 grumbling, flatulent scarfers and you’re miles away from your next hit of alcohol.
So, thinking as I always do in my spare moments, of Gary, I decided to knock up an article for MFW.
Having just been to the Macron, I updated the app that I’ve recently discovered on my phone that lets you tick off grounds around the country as you visit them, in search of the infamous “92”. (It’s called “Away Days” and it’s very good for those interested).
I did bemoan for a second however, the fact that on none of these apps is there the ability to work out how far the travelling distance to each club is, so that you could work out which the most challenging trips would be.
So for you dear reader, and to escape the miasma of stale beer breath and Wotsits on Club Cabbage, I worked it out for you.
In a list that is sure to leave the aforementioned Mr Gowers tearing the memory of his hair out in order to cope with the formatting, I’ve listed every one of the 92 league clubs and arranged them in terms of distance in miles away from Carrow Road.
The sharp-eyed and pedantic among you will no doubt find a mild anomaly among the figures, so please feel free to take it up with Google Maps if you do (Despite Meadow Lane and The City Ground being only a long goal kick apart, it insists the additional travel across the Trent adds 4 miles to the journey?).
Anyway, for all you fellow ground-tickers, enjoy!
