BLACK FRIDAY ON MFW! – 45% off ad rates and a monthly audience of 17000 City fans

MyFootballWriter has hit the Christmas sales early this year with news of a whopping 45% saving on our monthly advertising rates.

Now you can advertise to up to 17,000 unique monthly visitors from as little as £100 per month – a proper festive bargain.

“We always aim to please – be it to our ever-loyal audience or potential advertisers,” said the site’s publisher Rick Waghorn, who first launched the site in 2006.

Since then it has grown into a rich and vibrant online community whose members, on average, spend up to four minutes engaged with the site per visit.

Four minutes’ worth of brand visibility compared to the fleeting attention a print ad would traditionally command.

This figure coupled to the site’s local focus on Norwich and Norfolk makes for a compelling advertising proposition for businesses large and small as they seek a local-facing audience for their goods or services.

“We strongly believe that advertising on MyFootballWriter offers real value for money – particularly when compared to print-based alternatives,” said Rick, as the circulation numbers for the local newspapers continues to dwindle. The audience is now online, and marketers have to go where the eyeballs are.

“Times have changed. Younger readers are not buying newspapers any more,” said Rick, citing the collapse last week of local newspaper giant Johnston Press into administration as yet further evidence of the challenges faced by the legacy news publishers on terms of staying relevant – to reader and advertiser alike.

Today’s advertising sale is all part of a wider drive to make MyFootballWriter financially self-sustaining going forward.

“That’s the aim,” he added. “To get to a position where the costs of the site are covered, and Gary and the team can just concentrate on delivering the great Norwich City content we’ve all become accustomed to.”

To this end, the site is now offering the top page headerboard ad space at the reduced rate of £100 per month with the side square weighing in at just £80.

“I’m biased I know, but in the current market-place that is really good value for money,” said Rick “And it’s safe – you know exactly where your ad is being placed and who it is bring seen by.

“It’s being seen locally.”
