Ben runs down Norwich City’s new membership scheme for the 2020-21 season, which rewards fans for their loyalty once more, in a scheme they have said is ‘by fans, for fans.’

Former away-season-ticket holdersays
“A compliment to the club?” Hardly. If we go down – as most would surely expect now – how many games are going to be that much in demand? Very few, unless we’re challenging for promotion and that depends how the fixtures pan out at the end of the 2020/21 season – away to Middlesbrough on the last day is a very different proposition to QPR or Nottingham Forest, say.
As for individual fixtures, how many will actually be in demand? Brentford’s new ground, yes, but they might get promotion. Ipswich, but they’ve got to go up first. Fleetwood have the games in hand to get in the play-offs, and if they went up demand would certainly outstrip demand, but as for the rest…. we’ve been to most of them many times before. Unless you have a sequence to maintain, missing out on another trip to Rotherham is not completely earth-shattering, surely.
Sorry, but this whole film will delight the club; as at no point is the question “Why does a paid-for scheme need to be introduced and what is the club doing with the proceeds?” being asked

You can ask the question of course but you will never get a straight answer.
My response is this: It all goes into the black hole of administrative costs as I’ve said more than once before on MFW.
And *administrative costs* covers a wide area that us supporters will never, ever see broken down into precise, meaningful general expenditure figures that we can relate to.
Martin – you are indeed correct. The 2019/20 scheme was effectively explained away by it balancing the books due to the £30 maximum on ticket prices. This may not be the case in 2020/21, so who or what benefits from those suffering from FOMO signing up? Given that as a Championship club City will be boosted by the first season of parachute payments as well as a few incoming transfer fees it is not unreasonable to deduce that this is little more than taking candy from rather a lot of babies – the actual level of income accrued from these membership schemes will make little impact on the Canaries’ squad-building plans.
Although I don’t live in Norwich I’ve been a supporter for years
How do I get an audio commentary from Radio Norfolk for home and away matches?
How much will this cost me, how do I go about getting this?
I use to pay through iFollow for live matches, but how do I do this now?
