Welcome back to Norwich Talk – the official MyFootballWriter YouTube channel – for our first video in what seems like a while, following a little break.
Today we have a catch-up on all things Norwich City as we approach the start of another Championship campaign. We chat about: the new kits, Jordan Hugill & pre-season so far.
The home kit is stylish and a classic, simple design. I agree it is 9 out of 10.
The sentiment behind the away kit is good and bearing in mind many key workers work in the blue light services it makes sense to use blue. The design is reasonable and I would give the kit 7 out of 10.
So far preseason has gone well. The new signings seem to be bedding in well.
The squad seems to be strong with some good experienced UK players coming in. We should have no problems with number of English players in match day squads.
I think Liverpool were playing a game with Lewis to get the Greek player to sign.
Hugill is a decent signing if we got him for an initial £3m. A striker that got 15 goals in the Championship should be worth more. In the past few seasons Championship clubs have paid £15m for quite a few strikers, some of whom have not done the business. Even given the current financial hiatus it is a cheap deal.
If we get off to a decent start to the season I fancy us to get into the play-offs at least.
