Tuesday night was an emotional one at Carrow Road as, for many, it was their first visit to our second ‘living room’ since February 2020.
MFW columnist Chris Sadler captured the evening perfectly in a photo diary…

My Football Writer Norwich City news… comment… analysis
Hi Chris
Great photos from the game.
So far no one has had a back report on the game and many of the first 11 got time in their legs while others are still recovering from injuries or self isolating.
Is the a new dawn for the latest premiership challenge or a false dawn with all the hopes that goes with them.
Rumours are like confetti this time of year and as the window nears a closure expectations will be high on most supporters minds and DF ramped up the pressure on SW saying that he hopes that positions will be filled and to judge them in September.
As we all know come the 1st September all eyes will be watching the approaching January window so it is a never ending search for the next Buendia, Pukki or will we see another U23 claim a spot in the team to save the self financing club.
Only time will tell and pre season us the testing grounds over the years City have won all games and flopped at the start of the season and then there gave been dreadful pre seasons and a great start so who can say how the 14th will go or the following 2 games.
Only time will tell us if we have had a good or poor window, are Loserpool, ManC or Leicester free hits not in my book they are either confidence builder or destroyers.
Sadly I remember a time when transfer were conducted all year round with a break in March now it is a restricted trading business
Thanks Alex. Interesting times indeed. I remember Mike Walker had a terrible pre-season before finishing third that year so who can tell? The performance against Gillingham was very encouraging though!
Can’t wait to get back
It was great to attend again, the anticipation, the crowds, the feel of the place and the event, CC. Hopefully we will have many chances to do so again in the immediate future.
