City have been linked to Sao Paulo’s Gabriel Sara. Sara has just turned 23 and has over 65 senior games in Brazil to his name for his boyhood club Sao Paulo.
Various local media sources have touted the youngster with a loan move to City with an option to buy – similar to both Ben Gibson, Dimitris Giannoulis and Issac Hayden.
Ben provides a brief overview on Sara’s career so far and how he might fit in at Norwich City.

🟡 #Norwich #EFL #Championship 🟢
As a club we have poor stats on loans to buy both ways.
Gibson is a good Championship player but yet again once we signed him for a Premiership campaign he proved error prone an expensive flop just imagine if we had stayed up were would have had to purchase Kabak and Normann and neither set the football world on fire.
Out of 3 loans that had options to buy Famewo, Sinani and Bushiri only the latter got done due to games played in the deal.
We now have Hayden on loan to buy if certain conditions are met these haven’t been announced but his injury record over the last 4 seasons make it a questionable signing.
Sara never played outside of South America and at 23yr old will need time to adapt will he get that time under Webber and Smith and being touted as similar to Buendia and he had a poor start at city.
City has some extremely good players but none have been given time in the first team or time to adapt to a new country and style of football
Tzolis is a prime example maybe this could be his year to prove how good he is and by January if he hasn’t progressed then cut our loses.
I think our priority stat when selecting transfer targets is how cheap?
It’s the only way of explaining last years purchases at £60M and now we’re having trouble giving them away.
