You may or may not have noticed that the Sunday stripes this week have been passed to our Martin. For reasons too trivial to mention, he and I have swapped for today and I’ll be here in the week.
In fact, we, as in the MFW team, will be here for the duration of the World Cup. You don’t shake us off that easily.
While any Norwich City news will, of course, be limited to off-field events, if recent weeks are anything to go by there will still be talking points aplenty for those in the MFW team to pass comment on.
We’ll also be here to pick up on any World Cup-related news, particularly that of a Norwich City hue (we’re looking at you, Josh), although I suspect I’m not alone in feeling apathetic towards this tournament for reasons both numerous and obvious.
If, perchance, you are interested in reading my thoughts on it and its existence in Qatar then perhaps I could direct you toward this piece I wrote for the Byline Times.
(If you’d prefer to swerve it, I’ll not be offended 😀 )
And in the spirit of posting external links for your edification, I strongly urge you to read our Robin’s latest piece on the Pink Un. It’s here. I’ll not steal the ol’ boy’s thunder but, in my view, he’s nailed the current state of our club both on and off the pitch.
Anyway, while MFW temporarily adopts close-season mode, we’ll still be here and hope you can join us.
Also, if any of you out there fancy seeing your Norwich City (or World Cup) thoughts on the front page of MyFootballWriter, then the guest blog door is always open.
We promise you a painless experience.
If anyone fancies it, we usually look for blogs of between 800 and 1000 words, which can be sent in any form you wish to my email – gary@myfootballwriter.com.
Who’s up for it?
Ah, the Qatari world cup. I might watch the odd game, I might not.
I keep thinking about the Life of Brian, you know the scene with ‘women’ in false beards stoning the unbeliever.
