In the midst of a chaotic marriage break-up, Bob Dylan wrote “Blood on the Tracks”, arguably the most tortured of all his albums. Many fans and critics think it was his finest hour, but the Nobel Laureate himself says he can’t understand why anyone would “enjoy” listening to such pain and misery. That was pretty […]
An update from the Promised Land: Boro Paul gives us the latest from the north east and the parallels persist
It occurred to me spinning through Channel 5’s highlights, that Norwich scored half as many league goals in one afternoon as I’ve seen Boro score all season. Yo-yo? For City, Boro and Burnley smart use of ‘parachute’ should ensure Prem is never far away
£25 million next season, with some judicious transfer business, will put the relegated clubs at a tremendous advantage again. A club like Ipswich – just to give you a cheery example – can only dream of having that sort of money at their disposal.
Can City edge out the two north east ‘giants’? Can Boro go up? What price a play-off final replay?
I took a rare weekend off from BBC Football to come to Norfolk from London with my wife, spend quality time with my old mucker, and generally get a midwinter break. I feared the worst when some of our fans started to gloat at 4-1.
